- WETTERS and SPREADERS to ensure that the pesticide coats the crop effectively meaning more active ingredient reaches its target
- STICKERS to ensure that pesticides are not lost due to environmental conditions such as rainfall after application
- ANTI-DRIFT AGENTS to ensure that sprays do not inadvertently reach neighbouring crops and environmental areas
- ANTI-LEACHING AGENTS to maintain residual chemicals in the correct part of the soil profile to ensure they are available to work on the weeds and increase crop safety by keeping herbicides away from crop root zones
- WATER CONDITIONERS to stop the loss of activity of susceptible pesticides due to high salt content in the spray water
